Trained at Penzance School of Art, under the tuition of Bouverie Hoyton and William Tudor. Andreas' distinctive style has developed over the years and today is unmistakable. Her bold brush strokes and use of colour create strong images of sea, sky and landscape. A keen sailor much of her work is inspired by her regular trips to the Isles of Scilly, white sandy beaches, rocky coves, isolated cottages and radiant summer skies. Andrea captures the feeling of Cornwall in her work, she spends many days sketching and photographing the moors and coastline, later working on the painting in her Mousehole studio. Although, having used other media today Andrea paints exclusively in oils. Her work can be found in private collections in Europe and the USA, she was also commissioned by the Dorrien-Smith family on Tresco, Isles of Scilly both for their private collection and for the Island Hotel, Tresco.
