About Claire Allain

I have  been a jeweller and designer since graduating in 1998 with a degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing. During my degree, I started my selling career with a stand at the BBC Clothes Show Live at the Birmingham N.E.C . I attained second place in designing the trophy for The Eurovision Song Contest.  This culminated in the making of the trophy, and at an evening event held by the renowned jewellers Mappin and Webb it was handed over to The Birmingham Assay Office for display in its private collection.  I was in the top ten students of my year, so I was thrilled to be picked for a fantastic opportunity to have a display cabinet at New Designers at Earls Court in London. Following on from this, I was selected to exhibit as a recent graduate of excellence in Inhorgenta, Munich. My most notable achievement was being invited to have a showcase for a month at The Crafts Council UK in Islington, London, to show my works progression since graduating. I have been self employed ever since I left University and have supplied many Galleries in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, including my own Gallery which I owned and ran for seven years in the UK. I love my Job and will continue my passion for as long as my fingers and eyes work...
